July 28, 1977: Cubs beat Reds 16-15 in 13 innings at Wrigley Field.  They combined to hit 11 home runs tying the NL Record and also tie a MLB record of 5 in the first inning. 

T1 Reds hit 3 home runs off Ray Burris. A solo home run (Line Drive to CF-RF) by Pete Rose, a 3-run home run (Line Drive to Deep LF) by Johnny Bench, and a 2-run home run (Deep RF) by Mike Lum.

B2 Cubs hit 2 home runs off Dale Murray. A 3-run home run (Deep RF) by Bill Buckner and a solo home run (Deep LF) by Bobby Murcer.

T6 Ken Griffey hits a solo home run (Deep RF) off Paul Reuschel

T8 Cesar Geronimo hits a solo home run (Deep CF) off Willie Hernandez

B8 Cubs hit 2 home runs off Manny Sarmiento. Bill Buckner hits a 2-run home run (Line Drive to Deep RF) and Jerry Morales hits a solo home run (Line Drive to Deep LF).

B12 George Mitterwald hits a solo home run (Deep LF) off Jack Billingham.
