Hank Aaron hits his 715th home run & passes Babe Ruth

Braves 7, Dodgers 4 in Atlanta

April 8, 1974: Hank Aaron hit a 3-run home run in B4 off Al Downing passing Babe Ruth as the all-time home run leader with his 715th. Grandma was ready to capture this moment as she set aside a green marker to highlight this achievement. She wanted this one to stand out and our eyes are drawn immediately to that green 715.

April 4, 1974: He tied Babe Ruth with his 714th home run off Jack Billingham at Riverfront Stadium. I unfortunately and regrettably lost this scoresheet from this game. He ended his career with 755 home runs. He was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1982.
