“was baking turkey pot pie & apple pie for Mary’s welcome home for Roberta”. Grandma was baking an apple pie during the 7th inning stretch! You can’t make this stuff up. My mom Mary, was having a welcome home party for her sister Roberta who moved to Chicago and was coming home to visit at our house. She made her own scorebook when the time called for it.

“I canned peaches & cherries during game. I missed some plays”. I mean there’s peach and cherry stains on her scoresheet!

“Was fixing Rosie’s rolls..” Rosie was her next door neighbor.

Grandma was SOOOOO AWESOME!!!! She had the most beautiful soul.
