1989 World Series Game 4

Grandma acknowledges Dave “Smoke” Stewart’s incredible playoff performance, “Stewart was awarded trophy for 2 wins in playoffs & 2 wins in World Series in the same year! (1989).”

When I see her picture at the top of this post, I think of Dave Stewart’s legendary stare and I like to think she’s giving it back to him out of respect for his postseason dominance. It is her, game recognizes game, stare back at Stewart. Grandma had lots of game herself when it came to scorekeeping.
